주간신규실업수당신청건수는 실업으로 인한 실업수당 신청건수를 보여줍니다. 주간신규실업수당신청건수는 경기 방향을 설명하는데 종은 지표가 되기도 하지만 종종 잘못된 경기방향을 보여 주는 경우도 있습니다. 주간신규실업수당신청건수는 매주 목요일 발표되는데 일주일을 기준으로 하면 지표변동이 너무 크므로 대체로 4주의 지표를 묶어서 해석합니다. 보통 적어도 3만 정도의 신청건수변화가 지속적으로 있을 경 우에 의미를 두고 해석합니다.
Initial jobless claims measure the number of filings for state jobless benefits. This report provides a timely, but often misleading, indicator of the direction of the economy, with increases (decreases) in claims potential signaling slowing (accelerating) job growth. On a week-to-week basis, claims are quite volatile, and many analysts therefore track a four week moving average to get a better sense of the underlying trend. It typically takes a sustained move of at least 30K in claims to signal a meaningful change in job growth.

국제무역리포트는 전체 국제무역수지 동향을 가장 폭넓게 보여주는 리포트이다. 국제무역리포트에는 물품 및 서비스부문의 수출과 수입 동향이 나타나 있다. 특히 수출지수는 미국 내수경제의 경쟁력 또는 해외경제의 성장과 미국 경기의 상승 관계를 보여주는데 중요한 자료이다. 수입지수는 미국 내 수요를 예측할 수 있도록 도와주는 지표이지만 소비지표들과의 상당한 차이를 보여주기 때문에 제한적으로 이용된다. 월별 국제무역수지의 변동은 GDP를 예측하는데 중요한 지표로 쓰인다. 순수출지수는 GDP의 구성지표중에서도 변동이 심한 지표이며, 국제무역리포트는 각 분기별 순수출지수를 일찍 가늠할 수 있도록 도와주는 제한적인 지표로 이용될 수 있다.
The trade report is most widely watched for trends in the overall trade balance. But trends in both exports and imports of goods and services bear watching as well. The export data in particular are important to watch for indications that a strengthening competitive position at home and/or strengthening economies overseas are boosting U.S. growth. Imports provide an indication of domestic demand, but given the severe lag of this report relative to other consumption indicators, it is not particularly valuable for this purpose. The volatility in the monthly trade balance can play an important role in GDP forecasts. Net exports are a relatively volatile component of GDP, and the trade report provides the only early clues to the net export performance each quarter.
